There is a funny story with this lot and project. Before we acquired the lot on Dutch Hollow, we had written an offer on this lot. After we submitted our offer another offer was submitted and the seller chose the other offer. As a result, we bought the lot on Dutch Hollow Rd and never really thought much about it. A couple years later the couple who had purchased this lot reached out to us to talk about building a house for them. They didn’t know we had been the other offer on their lot and until we found out where their lot was, we didn’t know who they were! Needless to say, apparently we were destined to build a house on that lot! Another significant piece of this story is that this is the first “custom” house we built for someone using their plans and on their lot. It was a great experience with a lot of collaboration throughout the project. It’s a fulfilling feeling helping create someone else’s vision for their home and see it come to life! The owners generously allowed us to incorporate their house plans into our model home repertoire, and therefore we named it after them!
